Shevchenkivska Hromada Held a Meeting on Supporting People with Limited Mobility

We brought together representatives of the Shevchenkivska hromada, local residents, and service users around one table—everyone who faces the question every day of whether a person with a disability can live fully independently.

During the working meeting, we discussed how the social taxi operates right now: how many people use it, where they travel most often, where the service is already helping, and where improvements are needed.

However, the conversation went beyond transport. It touched upon a broader question: what inclusive infrastructure exists in the community today and what is missing for people with disabilities and limited mobility to have real, rather than formal, access to hospitals, administrative facilities, and everyday life.

Based on the meeting's results, we identified specific areas for future work: engaging businesses and international partners to ensure the sustainability of the service. We also received valuable feedback directly from those who actually use the service.

Such meetings are not a formality. They are a way to deliver help right where it is needed most.

The project is implemented by the Charitable Foundation "I HELP" within the framework of the "Unity for the Community" project, implemented by ISAR Ednannia with co-funding from the European Union and the Minderoo Foundation.
